Waters is the guitarist, vocalist, studio bassist & writer for Annihilator as well as a studio owner, producer, engineer and mix & mastering engineer. Killer live shows, lots of touring since and pure, honest Heavy Metal-meets-Thrash Metal music.

Annihilator was founded in by guitarist/main composer Jeff Waters and the band released three demos before being signed to Roadrunner Records for the release of "Alice in Hell". About half of the tracks on "Alice in Hell" were culled from the demos.

Annihilator's demo `Phantasmagoria' was quite well sought after in underground tape trading circles, and the tracks "Gallery", Alison Hell" and "Phantasmagoria" are great. For a demo recorded in a basement (and obviously cleaned up in the studio a little), the sound quality is very clear, especially Jeff Waters' rhythm guitar/5(4).

Album information. Although the album's insert lists five members, Annihilator was a three-piece (Randy Rampage, Jeff Waters and Ray Hartmann) at the time of its recording in In addition to guitar, Waters provides bass and backing vocals on the album, produced it and wrote all the songs, with the exception of "Crystal Ann".

Nov 14,  · Although the album’s release notes list Annihilator as a five-piece band, the group actually consisted of three members (Randy Rampage, Jeff Waters and Ray Hartmann) during the recording. Waters, along with his guitar parts, also played bass and performed backingvocals, while at the same time he produced the record and wrote all the.

Yes Jeff Waters can still play guitar & he still creates what is basically thrash metal with a unique sound all of his own, but this album is a bit thin on the ground when it comes to his unusual but brilliant guitar solo's. if you really want to hear what Jeff is capable of you need to get Alice In Hell from /5(90).
