   Peabody entered the stage by sliding down a giant prop of a banjo neck, wearing an eye-boggling blazer, and pants large enough for a medium-sized giraffe. During this period his act became more and more extravagant, and he had plenty of opportunities to fiddle with it (or more accurately pick at it) because bookings were coming in 52 weeks of the year.

   I suppose it would be fairly accurate to call the late Eddie Peabody the "Chet Atkins of the plectrum banjo." Sadly his instrument of choice continued to go down in popularity while the guitar rose tremendously. I actually bought this used vinyl LP 4/5(1).

   Oct 23,  · Not exactly what I look for in a banjo record. Just flipped to side 2, let's see where it goes. Meh.. same thing. Good playing but I'd prefer bluegrass banjo over this. Last two songs have vocals and last song takes a picked solo but that's all there is. Cover is cool. It goes back into the banjo section to be flipped past. Paper sleeve/5(2).
